  • The appearance of a natural tooth
  • Created from biocompatible materials
  • A high success rate
  • Doesn’t damage your existing teeth
  • Easy to maintain

Your dental implant can be treated just like a natural tooth. You’ll brush, floss and have your regular checkups with us to make sure that the implant stays perfectly healthy.

What to Expect in Getting a Dental Implant

The first step is to have a consultation and ensure that you’re a candidate for getting a dental implant. We’ll assess your teeth and mouth and take X-rays to look at your jawbone and gum thickness. You must have adequate bone and gum to receive the dental implant, so this is a vital step of the process.

Once we have determined your suitability, you’ll have an appointment where the titanium implant post is inserted into your jawbone. Following this procedure, you’ll need to allow it to heal. This process takes 3-6 months, allowing the implant to integrate with the bone. When complete, you can return to have a restoration applied to the implant.

The Restorations for Dental Implants

Depending on your situation, you can have a dental crown, dental bridge or denture applied to your dental implant.

  • Crown – If you are replacing a single tooth, you’ll have a crown placed on top of the implant to complete your restoration.
  • Bridge – If you are missing multiple teeth, a dental bridge can be placed on your implant to replace them.
  • Dentures – If you are missing all teeth on the upper, lower or both arches, we can place 2-4 implants. The dentures can then be affixed to the implants for an extremely secure feel.
