Invisalign at My Dental Moments

Would you love to have straighter teeth, but don’t wish to wear metal braces? You’re not alone. It’s a common concern for people who want orthodontics—they don’t want people to be able to see that they’re aligning their smile. Invisalign® is known around the world for producing gorgeous results while being virtually invisible. If you’re interested in this solution, our team at My Dental Moments can provide it for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does treatment with Invisalign take?

You will receive an estimate of your treatment times at your consultation with us. We’ll need to evaluate your teeth first and discuss what you would like to achieve, which will give us a time frame. On average, adults take 12-18 months to complete their treatment.

What is the process to get Invisalign?

Once we have decided that Invisalign is right for you, the next step is to gather information. X-rays, photos and scans of your teeth are taken, then used to create your 3D treatment plan. This program is used in the Invisalign laboratory to custom-create your sets of aligners. The laboratory will produce them, then send them back to us so that you can pick them up and start wearing them.

Will I need to see you for checkups?

Yes, though not as many checkups are necessary with Invisalign as they are for traditional braces. We’ll see you approximately every 6-8 weeks to evaluate your progress.

How often do I change to a new set of aligners?

You’ll typically change into a new aligner set every two weeks. We’ll advise you on what is most appropriate for you, however, so that you know exactly what to do to get the best results.

Am I a candidate for Invisalign?

Invisalign can correct mild to moderate cases. The only way to know for certain whether it’s right for you is to schedule a consultation with your Invisalign-certified dentist.
